Christmas village on the Freyung

The Altwiener Christkindlmarkt on the Freyung was the first ever in Austria; it has been full of Christmas traditions since 1772. You can do various activities such as handicrafts, decorate glasses, buy traditional nativity scenes and ceramics. From 4 pm you can listen to the festive Advent music every day. 

From Zippererstraße, take the U3 underground line for 12 minutes to Herrengasse and then just a 5-minute walk.

Christmas market on Spittelberg
The Christmas market on Spittelberg is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Vienna. Whether big or small, there is something for everyone. You can buy various things, from artwax and piggy banks to coffee and ginger. In addition, the Christkindlmarkt also offers youth-free films every day as well as children's cookie baking and puppet theater.
                                         

 From Zippererstraße, you can also take the U3 underground line to Volkstheater in just 13 minutes and then walk another 5 minutes.

Let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful Christmas market on Rathausplatz. Walk past the various markets and buy some nice souvenirs, drink a delicious hot punch in the meantime or spend your time on the ice skating rink next to the Christmas market. Whether you're going with family or friends, there are plenty of activities on offer at Rathausplatz.

From Zippererstraße , take the tram to Volkstheater and either walk 10-15 minutes from there or take streetcar D to Schottenring.
